I'll preface this by saying I'm usually a positive person, but this has just got me down lately.I'm in my early thirties and have been trying online dating for about two years with little luck.Lots of nerdy/environmentally/health conscious, however that might be a reflection of my personality. Not much came out of them and after a date one of the matches mentioned she was already in a relationship.e Harmony I had many matches that filtered to about 5 dates.I found the people I met to be much more compatible than what I encountered with Po F and OKCupid.I dunno, is there anything that you guys can think of besides the ol' grocery store approach? I looked on Meetup last year - there seems to be some interesting groups there. Have you considered joining a team that was all strangers?I'm in my 50s, so have pretty much given up on dating and resolved to be single, but if I was in my 30s, I'd be going to meetups, and get a volunteer job (check with the QEII, and the library - you may get something that's an hour or two, every couple of weeks). The next part is a bit personality related/depends on how much you want to put yourself out there. At work I'm the youngest person in my office - most coworkers are in their 40's (or older), married, with kids, etc.
I've also tried the Stubborn Goat's speed dating last year before Valentines (Not aware of any on going speed dating companies that run them throughout the year).
I had two matches that led to a dates, but not much came out of them.
OKCupid: I was matched with a lot more "alternate" crowd.
